近年 Sigma 发展理想，CEO 山木和人可谓功不可没，成为追访对象理所当然，最新的一篇访问中，他便透露了一个令 Sony 全片幅 E-mount 相机用家极为兴奋的消息。
较早时，山本先生已于其中一个访谈中透露将会研发专为 Sony 全片幅 E-mount 相机而设的镜头，不过研发需时，并不会在短时间内推出。正当机迷们还在猜想这批新镜会否由现有的 Sigma 镜头群中改造而来的时候，山本先生在最新的一篇专访就为机迷们解开了迷思，部份访问原文如下：
〝It’s possible to make the native E-mount [lens] using the existing glass, but all of our existing lens is not designed for mirrorless. So when you’re designing [a new lens], you can’t easily take an existing lens design [from another mount] and put a little bit deeper mount on it, so that it’s at the right distance for the Sony flange-back distance.〞
意思即谓 Sigma 现时所生産的镜头并不是为无反相机而设，若然要製作专为 Sony E-mount 相机所用的镜头，并不是单纯的去改动一个合适的接口便可，简单点说即是厂方会为 Sony E-mount 重新去设计镜头，好让 Sony E-mount 全片幅相机的画质得以尽情发挥。实在叫人极期待 FE-mount ART 系列镜头的推出。
